This event, organised by the NIHR BRC: Maudsley’s Child Mental Health and Neurodevelopmental Disorders theme, will bring together leading academics, clinicians and experts by experience to explore how interactions between the brain and body shape child mental health and neurodevelopment. The programme will cover a range of topics, including:
- Integrated care for children and young people
- Early life programming and brain development
- Immune vulnerability and inflammation
- Novel participatory approaches to research with children and young people.
Through keynote presentations, research talks and panel discussions, attendees will gain insights into how mind-body approaches can advance research, inform clinical practice and improve outcomes for children and young people.
The conference will provide a valuable opportunity for academics, clinicians, students and experts by experience to learn about emerging discoveries, exchange ideas and connect with others working across child mental health, neurodevelopment and physical health research.
