Featured workshop
From Patient Narratives to Insights: Applying Text Analytics to Scalable Lived Experience Data for New Discoveries
Dr Saskia Sanderson (NIHR Biomedical Research Centre: Maudsley – Informatics Theme) will lead a pre-conference workshop exploring how text analytics can be used to unlock insights from large-scale patient narratives.
Grounded in the idea of research as a process of investigation that generates and effectively shares new insights, this interactive session will guide participants through the opportunities, challenges, and next steps in applying text analytics to patient voices at scale.
The workshop will take a collaborative and transdisciplinary approach, bringing together diverse perspectives to co-develop ideas. Outputs from the session will be written up in a post-workshop insights report, shared with participants after the event.
The overarching aim is to contribute to the development of a future transdisciplinary framework for translating the complexity of large-scale qualitative patient data into meaningful health research impact — ultimately delivering tangible benefits for patients and society.
