King’s Trials Partnership (KTP) is a cross-partnership webinar series designed to connect colleagues involved in clinical trials and associated research across King’s Health Partners.

Held online every six weeks, each one-hour session will feature two speakers from across the partnership, bringing together academic, clinical, methodological, and research delivery perspectives. The series will showcase ongoing research, share practical lessons from trial design to delivery, highlight innovative methods and approaches, and create opportunities for new collaborations.

KTP aims to bring together colleagues from across KHP-institutions, disciplines, professional roles and careers stages, creating opportunities for perspectives and expertise from across the research community to be shared. The aim is to create a regular, inclusive forum that increases visibility of trials research across the partnership, encourages shared learning, strengthens professional networks and builds more connected trials research community across King’s Health Partners.

Professor Emsley is Academic Director of the King’s Clinical Trials Unit, Professor of Medical Statistics and Trials Methodology in the Department of Biostatistics & Health Informatics, IoPPN and Theme Lead for Trials, Genomics and Prediction at NIHR BRC: Maudsley. In the opening talk ‘Connecting Research and Trial Delivery‘, he will introduce the King’s Trials Partnership seminar series and share insights into selected clinical trials taking place across King’s Health Partners. Highlighting the breadth of research underway, he will set out how the series aims to bring colleagues together, share knowledge and practical experience, and strengthen collaboration across trial design and delivery.

Petrina Chu, Research Fellow in the Biostatistics and Health Informatics Department, IoPPN, will then lead the talk ‘From Pilot to Pragmatic Randomised Controlled Trials‘, exploring pilot, cluster, and adaptive trial designs using current and recent examples in various disease areas. Chu will also discuss potential resources if you are a researcher wanting to test or develop an intervention and are not sure where to start.

This series is for staff and students in King’s Health Partners working in clinical trials and associated research.
