Affective Disorders and Interface with Medicine

The NIHR Maudsley BRC research theme Affective Disorders and Interface with Medicine centres on developing new treatments for depression, bipolar and anxiety disorders.  It integrates multiple approaches beyond pharmacotherapy (including immunopsychiatry, neuroimaging, and psychological approaches) and addresses the mechanisms by which mental and physical illness interact.

Theme lead: Professor Carmine Pariante
