Precision psychiatry cluster

Led by Professor Philip McGuire, a psychiatrist and authority on translational research applied to schizophrenia, the precision psychiatry cluster facilitates cognitive, neuroimaging, physiological, genomic, inflammatory, and immunological measures to facilitate precision medicine approaches to the prevention, diagnosis and early intervention across our clinical disorder themes.

Neuroimaging

Developing brain imaging (using MRI, PET and EEG scans) for better diagnosis, improved understanding of disease biology, enhanced prediction of response to treatments, and clearer patient stratification for trials.

Analytical and biomedical expertise in genomics, particularly in the methodology, analysis and implementation of polygenic risk scores.

Bioresource

Bioresource collects biological samples such as blood and saliva for molecular analysis which are linked to electronic medical records of people who have agreed to participate in research.
