Innovative UK data hub to enable research and innovation to tackle mental illness

Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) and the Medical Research Council (MRC) have today announced a new Hub to provide innovative data resources for mental health research and innovation. The Hub will improve the discoverability and usability of diverse data sources for research to help improve the lives of people with mental health problems.

An interview with Dr Faith Matcham

Dr Faith Matcham is the NIHR Maudsley BRC Research Champion for diversity and inclusion. Faith also co-ordinates the major depression study within RADAR-CNS, which uses data collected from wearable devices and smartphone sensors to predict health outcomes in people with major depressive disorder, epilepsy and MS.

Latest COVID-19 Vaccine Study in the UK Launches in London

On Wednesday 14th April, the latest COVID-19 vaccine study was launched in London, with the King's Clinical Research Facility being one of the sites taking part. Sponsored by Canadian biopharmaceutical company Medicago and GlaxoSmithKline, the Phase 3 clinical trial will test the safety and efficacy of a plant-derived vaccine candidate named CoVLP.
